Projects
As the name suggests, currently, we don’t have a common project owned by the region, but in the future, we desire to have some projects.
Achievements
We have seen significant growth in various aspects of our region;
- Ongoing Formation; as a region we have focused on the continuous development of our junior sisters, ensuring they receive a comprehensive formation to strengthen their spiritual life.
- Welfare; as a region, we have shown solidarity and support during time of loss by attending the funerals of our late parents. Additionally, we have celebrated milestone such as birthdays and graduations at the community level, which has strengthened our sense of unity and shared joy among us.
- Spirituality; we have deepened our spiritual life through monthly recollection, through celebrations of important feasts such as St. Francis and St. Anna.
- A successful dinner; in 2024, we held Dinner Harambee, which was a remarkable success, marked by unity, generosity, and a deep sense of shared purpose. The event, which brought together a diverse group of guests, friends, well-wishers, religious leaders, and members of the community, was aimed at raising funds. We thank all the members from the Siaya and Kisumu regions who supported us in one way or another.
- Meeting with Watts of Love partners; The Resource Mobilization Committee held a significant meeting with partners from Watts of Love to explore areas of collaboration and shared mission. The region is still in the process of coming up with an MOU that will guide the collaboration between these two institutions.
Challenges
Despite these positive developments, we also face resource constraints, which have sometimes hindered our ability to provide adequate formation programs and other activities within the region, like capacity building of sisters. To address this, we plan to seek partnerships and funding opportunities that can boost our resources and sustain our programs.
